Description
A superb William IV period chiffonier, beautifully crafted in richly figured maple with a lustrous hand-polished finish that enhances the natural depth and movement of the grain. The upper section features two open display shelves supported by elegant turned columns and finished with a fine brass gallery, ideal for displaying books or decorative objects.
The lower section comprises a pair of paneled doors with finely striped fabric inserts, opening to reveal a spacious shelved interior for ample storage. The doors are fitted with a Bramah lock and working key, a hallmark of quality craftsmanship from this period.
Gracefully rounded corners, a solid plinth base, and restrained classical detailing give this piece the refined symmetry and understated elegance characteristic of William IV furniture design.
