Description
A finely crafted pair of French Louis XV–style stools, distinguished by their elegant proportions and richly carved walnut frames. Each example features a shaped seat rail adorned with scrolling acanthus foliage and shell motifs, executed in a restrained Rococo manner that reflects 18th-century French design principles.
The frames are constructed from solid walnut, finished in a warm mid-tone that enhances the depth and character of the timber grain. The cabriole legs are well defined and terminate in gently scrolled feet. A shaped cross-stretcher connects the legs, centered with a turned finial detail that provides both visual balance and structural stability.
The seats are generously padded and upholstered in a champagne-ground damask fabric, decorated with flowing foliate and floral patterns in muted sage, ivory, and blush tones. A braided trim neatly borders the seat edge, offering a clean, tailored finish.
