The shaped and molded frames are crafted in solid walnut with a warm, medium-toned finish that highlights the natural figuring of the timber. The serpentine crest rails are centered by an intricately carved rocaille cartouche, flowing into scrolled shoulders and down curved stiles that frame the upholstered backs. The carving is crisp and confident, with acanthus, shell, and foliate motifs repeated across the crest, apron, and knees, demonstrating careful attention to traditional craftsmanship.
Each fauteuil features padded backs and generously proportioned seats upholstered in a silk-blend damask of champagne ground with woven floral and foliate motifs in soft sage, blush, and ivory tones. The textile’s classical pattern complements the rococo lines of the frames, while braided gimp trim neatly outlines the upholstery, lending a tailored finish.
