Having a 13-inch ogee-arched silvered dial with Roman chapter ring framing a pierced floral- and foliate-engraved band, the diaper work-engraved field with silvered subsidiary seconds dial, the arch with similar Chime/Silent and seven tunes (Westminster, Whittington, St Michael, Winchester, Guilford, Canterbury and Tennyson) each dial centred by an engraved brass eight-pointed star, flanked by engraved foliate scrollwork, the movement striking on a large single tube, and chiming on eight graduated tubes via a toothed cylinder, the case having a foliate-carved swan neck pediment over diaper work, ogee-arched bevelled glazed hood door between vase-topped square columns, between foliate-pierced side frets, the acanthus-headed trunk between blind fretwork-carved canted corners on a conforming base, acanthus scroll brackets and turned feet
