A beautiful 19th century Elkington & Co. cauldron with two handles and its original lid. This large kitchen utensil is called “marmite” in French and is used to cook in large quantities. It is also called “Fait-tout,” literally translated into “to do everything” and was often used to wash clothing and sheets in hot water. Simple, classic construction.
